World War Two bomb damage - 1941.
Second World War damage to St. Cuthbert's Church after a land mine exploded in Hayling Avenue just yards from the church on 17th April 1941, destroying the (geographical) North end of the church and completely destroying the Parish Hall (known as the old Mission Church).
