OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

During the autumn, together with lots of other churches and schools in the area, members of St. Cuthbert’s Church, have been preparing Christmas Gifts in a SHOE BOX for some of the world’s disadvantaged children.
It may be small but your gifts in a SHOE BOX can change a child’s life. For some of the world’s most disadvantaged children your gift of a SHOE BOX could be the first Christmas present they have ever received in their lives.

The gift of a shoe box will make a child feel special and valued, and let them know that we care about them.

WE SEND 83 SHOE BOXES

Children from the Corner Pre-school (who meet in the St. Cuthbert’s Centre), St. Cuthbert's Rainbows, Guides & Brownies, as well as members of the congregation have enjoyed choosing gifts and then wrapping and filling a total of 83 SHOE BOXES as part of the worlds largest children’s Christmas project.

Maggy Shaw our “SHOE BOX LADY” wrote;

"Because of your act of kindness somewhere in the world an underprivileged child knows they have not been forgotten. Thank you."
